Viewing dates and times vary according to the sale type and these are published on our website for the different sales. You can attend on these days and and inspect items for sale.
We will be pleased to give condition reports on any lot where practical. You may ask as many questions as you like and we will be your “eyes and ears” to help enable you to fully satisfy yourselves before bidding.

BIDDING AT OUR AUCTIONS – FIRST TIME REGISTRATIONS
First time bidders will need to register with us. We require two forms of identification including proof of address. You will need to register a debit or credit card with us, you do not have to pay using this method.

BIDDING IN THE SALEROOM
Once you have registered with us you will need to obtain a Bidding Number / Paddle. You will be given a different paddle number for each sale.
LIVE ONLINE BIDDING
Live online bidding is now available for all of our auctions via www.easyliveauction.com, enabling you to take part in the bidding from anywhere in the world, live as it happens. To bid online you need to register at www.easyliveauction.com.
In completing the bidder registration on www.easyliveauction.com and providing your debit / credit card details and unless alternative arrangements are agreed with Eastbourne Auctions, you:
- Authorise Eastbourne Auctions, if they so wish, to charge the registered card given in part or full payment, including all fees, for items successfully purchased in the auction via easyliveauction.com, and
- Confirm that you are authorised to provide these card details to Eastbourne Auctions through www.easyliveauction.com and agree that Eastbourne Auctions are entitled to permit the shipping of the goods to the card holder name and card holder address provided in fulfilment of the sale.
ABSENTEE / COMMISSION BIDDING
If you are unable to attend a sale you can leave a commission / absentee bid. The auctioneer will bid on your behalf and will purchase the lot as cheaply as possible allowing for the reserve price and other bids. Absentee bids can be left via our website www.eastbourneauction.com and easyliveauction.com by clicking on the place bid button. All bids received will be confirmed via email.
It is possible to arrange a bid via the telephone by prior arrangement with the office, we will ask you for a covering bid. In the event that we for any reason cannot reach you we will use this as your maximum absentee bid. You can make telephone bid request via our website at www.eastbourneauction.com. Please ensure all telephone bids by the day before the sale. We will email you confirmation that we have arranged these bids.
Lots marked with an asterisk (*) are subject to VAT on the hammer price.
PAYMENT & CLEARANCE
Payment is due immediately after the auction in pounds sterling. If you are a first time buyer we will need your name, address and bank details and will require funds to be cleared before purchases can be released.
A Buyers Premium of 24% inc VAT is payable on all sold lots, this is available bidders who settle their invoices promptly
PLEASE NOTE: The Buyers Premium automatically increases to 30% inc VAT on the WEDNESDAY following the sale for bidders who have not ensured cleared funds have reached us on, or before, the Tuesday following the sale.
Debit Card payments where the card-holder is not present will only be accepted for transactions up to £200.

Where practical, payment can be made and purchases collected during the auction.
These will be posted live during the sale live online on our website and on easyliveauction.com. You will need to refresh the catalogue page to update the results.
If you are successful with your bidding we will email you an invoice shortly after the sale.
PACKING & SHIPPING
We can arrange packing and / or shipping on your behalf for smaller non fragile items. We will email you a quote detailing the shipping method, and will ship when you have approved and paid for this service. Eastbourne Auctions do not accept any responsibility for losses or damages from the time a parcel or items are passed to a courier / shipper. For further information please see our shipping policy.
