1894 Hong Kong Plague medal awarded to Major A Chapman Lt.Col.A Chapman when a major was awarded this medal for his efforts in the 1894 Great Hong Kong Plague. One of his sons D. G. Chapman the youngest member represented Team GB and Hong Kong as an athlete in the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam The other son Ben Fletcher Chapman won the Taipoo shooting competition and whilst serving as an officer in WW1 with the Hong Kong and Singapore Camel Corps in Egypt 1916-1917 met Lawrence of Arabia |
