Victorian silver desk stand presented by Queen Victoria to Mr William Hawes of The Chapels Royal on her marriage with HRH Prince Albert, February 10th 1840, the desk stand embossed with acanthus leaves, fitted with a pair of cut glass inkwells having silver lids and a miniature chamber stick with snuffer, the base engraved 'Presented to Mrs J B Morison on occasion launch of J D Nebula Inverness 7th September 1918', impressed Thomas's Bond Street, Edward, John and William Barnard London 1839, 26cm wide
